Hazelburn – 10 Year Old Bourbon Cask (70cl, 46%)

Hazelburn 10 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt matured in bourbon casks and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Hazelburn is the third malt of the Springbank family and was first bottled in 1997. It is made from air-dried malt, is unpeated and is distilled three times. The nose is sweet and tropical, with baked pineapple, lemon sherbet, honeycomb and dried orange peel. On the palate, green apple and a slight vegetal note sit alongside a creamy character of pastel de nata and custard creams. The finish is subtly earthy, with salted caramel, ginger, toasted coconut and a mineral note.
