Hazelburn 8 Year Old is a 2025 release from Campbeltown, matured entirely in Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 48.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Hazelburn is made by the Springbank family of Campbeltown. It is an unpeated single malt, produced from air-dried malt and distilled three times, and was first bottled in 1997.
The nose opens with sweet cinnamon, then cocoa powder, cranberry and redcurrant. Mixed berries lead the palate, along with strawberry bubble gum, sticky toffee pudding and blackberries. The finish is nutty, with hazelnut and walnut.
