Heaven's Door Decade Series Release #02 is a 10 year old straight rye whiskey, the second release in the Decade Series. It is distilled from a high-rye mash bill and bottled at 100 proof, or 50% ABV. The bottle was made in collaboration with Bob Dylan, who co-founded the Heaven's Door brand, and its design carries artistic ironwork motifs. Tasting notes describe rich oak, herbal spice, orange peel and vanilla on the nose. The palate is full-bodied, with dark chocolate, toasted grain and cracked pepper. The finish is lingering and warm, with a dry, spicy edge.
