Heaven's Door is a Tennessee whiskey range created by Bob Dylan together with Marc Bushala, founder of Angel's Envy Bourbon, and made in a church in Tennessee. The name comes from Dylan's song Knocking on Heaven's Door, and the bottle shows the welded iron gate he made at his Black Buffalo Ironworks studio.
This straight bourbon has a mash bill with 30 per cent small grains. It is matured for at least eight years in new American oak.
The nose offers cedar, summer berries, cocoa and roasted grain. Festive spices, vanilla pod, buttered corn and warm rye lead the palate, and the finish brings vanilla, peanut brittle and nutmeg.
