Heaven's Door Straight Bourbon is part of the original core range from Heaven's Door Spirits, the brand co-founded by Bob Dylan. It is distilled and aged in Tennessee, matured for a minimum of around six years in new charred American oak, and bottled non-chill-filtered at 45% ABV (90 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
The glass carries a relief of Dylan's welded iron gate artwork, made by hand from found objects, here with wagon wheels and a perched raven.
The nose is caramel, vanilla and oak with hints of charred wood and toasted grain. The palate is smooth and mellow, with vanilla, baked bread, cinnamon and nutmeg over toasted oak. The finish is medium and lasting, with gentle baking spice and sweet oak.
