Heaven's Door Straight Rye is a rye whiskey from Tennessee, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
It departs from convention by being finished in toasted oak cigar barrels. The staves for these barrels were air-dried for three years in the Vosges, a low-lying mountainous region of France. This finishing process is said to give a smoother, more approachable rye.
Notes of orange peel, coriander and spice are associated with it.
