Heaven's Door Straight Rye Whiskey (70cl, 46%)

Heaven's Door Straight Rye is an American rye whiskey made in collaboration with the musician Bob Dylan. It is distilled in Indiana from a mash of 95 per cent rye and 5 per cent malted barley, and bottled at 92 proof (46%), in a 70cl bottle. The whiskey is aged for over seven years, then finished in toasted oak cigar barrels from Vosges in France. The toasting brings spice and dried fruit rather than heavy char. The nose has orange peel, dried herbs and mint. The palate is spicy and rye-led, with cinnamon, nutmeg and toasted oak. The finish is long and warming, with citrus zest and baking spice.
