Henriques & Henriques Full Rich 5 Year Old Madeira

Full Rich 5 Year Old is a Madeira from Henriques & Henriques, made on the island of Madeira. It is a blend of local grape varieties, aged for at least five years by the traditional canteiro method, which exposes the barrels to the island's natural warmth. The colour is deep amber with golden highlights. The nose offers candied fruit, chocolate and a toasted note reminiscent of caramel toffee. The palate is rich and soft, with sweetness lifted by fresh acidity, and dried fruit such as raisins and figs alongside vanilla and exotic spice. The finish is long. It suits chocolate desserts, crème brûlée and aged cheeses, or can be sipped on its own.
