This is a 20 year old Madeira made entirely from Malvasia, the richest and sweetest of the classic Madeira styles, by Henriques & Henriques in Câmara de Lobos. It is aged for a minimum of twenty years by the canteiro method, and the age statement refers to the youngest wine in the blend.
The colour is dark with golden hints. The nose offers toffee, caramelised fig and crème brûlée over clove, five-spice and honey, with dark dried fruit.
The palate is sweet, velvety and full-bodied, with raisins, honey and vanilla. Its acidity keeps the richness in balance.
