High Coast – Cinco (50cl, 50.5%)

Cinco is a Swedish single malt from High Coast, made entirely from unpeated whisky matured in casks that held five sherries: Oloroso, Fino, Pedro Ximénez, Amontillado and Palo Cortado. The name is Spanish for five. The whiskies first spent between 2.66 and 5.64 years in bourbon casks. Ten of the eleven sherry casks were Spanish oak; the eleventh, Pedro Ximénez in American oak, was added to balance the spicier European oak with a sweeter note. The casks were emptied on 25 February 2020 and the whisky reduced to 50.5% ABV. It was bottled the next day, giving 5,195 bottles of 50cl, without colouring or chill-filtration.
