High Coast – Timmer (70cl, 48%)

Timmer is a peated single malt from High Coast in Sweden, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is made entirely from peated whisky matured in first-fill bourbon casks: 18 quarter casks of 130 litres, 30 casks of 200 litres and 4 more of 200 litres, with the malt peated to 46 ppm in the first two groups and 44 ppm in the last. The name is a tribute to the men and women who once lived and worked in the area, steering heavy logs down the icy river and warming themselves by fires under a pale moon. Timmer contains no artificial colouring and is not chill-filtered.
