Highland Park – Cask Strength Single Malt Batch #4 (64.3%)

This is the fourth release in the Highland Park Cask Strength series, bottled straight from the cask at 64.3% without water added to reduce it. It was matured mainly in first-fill sherry-seasoned European oak casks, together with first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak, a small share of refill casks, ex-bourbon casks and, for the first time in the series, ex-port casks. The nose has toasted coconut, crushed lemons and cedarwood, with a hint of Turkish Delight in the peat smoke. Pink grapefruit and rose water lead the palate, alongside toasted oak and heathery peat. The long finish brings sun-baked spices, liquorice and floral peat smoke.
