Hirsch The Departure is an American single malt made from 100% malted barley at the Hotaling & Co. Distillery in San Francisco, a distillery known for its rye whiskeys. It marks a new direction for the house.
It was distilled at the original Potrero Hill site and is one of the last spirits made there. The whiskey has a rich amber colour.
The nose offers malted barley and subtle spices. The palate is smooth, with layers of flavour, and the finish is long and warm.
