Horse Soldier Barrel Strength Bourbon

A barrel strength bourbon from Horse Soldier, made from a mash bill of 70% corn, 20% soft red winter wheat and 10% two-row barley. It is made from grain, water, yeast and wood, with no additives or artificial colour, and has a poppy topaz colour in the glass. It is meant to be sipped neat or with ice, though it also works in a Sazerac, an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan. The nose brings caramel, honey, butterscotch, cashew and spiced raisin, with a hint of toffee. A deeper inhale adds apples, citrus and leather.
