Horse Soldier Bourbon is a bourbon bottled at 43.5% ABV, with a mash bill of 65% corn, 30% rye and 5% barley.
It is made from grain, water, yeast and wood, using water from limestone aquifers, and no additives or artificial colour are used. The colour is a copper hue. It is intended for sipping neat or with ice, and also works in a Sazerac, Old Fashioned or Manhattan.
The nose brings caramel, toasted corn, oak, cinnamon and dark fruit. The palate shows oak, vanilla, nutmeg, mild black pepper and light honey, with a warm, spicy feel.
