A small batch bourbon from Horse Soldier, bottled at 95 proof (47.5% ABV). The mash bill is 70% corn, 20% wheat and 10% barley, made with limestone-filtered water and without additives or artificial colour. The number 95 echoes 595, the Special Forces team number of the first Green Berets into Afghanistan, who rode into battle on horses.
The colour is a warm golden caramel. The nose brings caramel, honey, butterscotch, cashew and spiced raisin, with a hint of toffee. A deeper breath adds apples, citrus and leather.
Tasting Notes
