A Breath of Fresh Air is a 37 year old grain whisky from House of Hazelwood, bottled at 46.4% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in the 1980s and matured in American white oak, and 237 bottles were filled.
The colour is pale gold with a faint greenish tint. The nose brings fresh orchard fruit, chamomile tea, lemon balm and wild honey, with vanilla pod, white flowers, mint and eucalyptus.
The palate is light-bodied but has texture, with green apple, lime zest, jasmine rice and fennel, and a delicate sweetness. The finish is crisp and dry.
