Hudson 7 Year Old Calvados Cask Finish Rye Whiskey (75cl, 46%)

Hudson 7 Year Old Calvados Cask Finish is a limited-edition New York rye whiskey from Tuthilltown Distillery in Gardiner, bottled at 46% ABV. The mash is 95% rye and 5% malted barley. The whiskey spent at least three and a half years in new American oak, then a further three and a half years in casks that previously held AOC Calvados apple brandy from Normandy, giving a minimum of seven years in total. It is Empire Rye certified. On the nose come buttery vanilla, citrus, corn bread and crisp apple. The palate has cashew butter, caramel and vanilla, and the finish is long and balanced.
