Hudson Short Stack is a New York straight rye whiskey from Tuthilltown Distillery in Gardiner, in the Hudson Valley, at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The mash is 95% rye and 5% malted barley. It is aged for a minimum of three years, then finished in barrels that previously held Vermont maple syrup. It carries Empire Rye certification.
The nose is vanilla, maple and oak. On the palate, sweet maple and vanilla mellow into mint and spice, and the finish lingers with maple.
