This Cragganmore single malt is part of Hunter Laing's Old & Rare Platinum collection. It was distilled in October 1995 and matured for 26 years in a single sherry butt.
The cask was opened in 2022 and gave 300 bottles at cask strength.
The nose offers toasted almonds, cherry Madeira cake, leathery oak and soft, buttery fruit. On the palate, woody spice builds alongside biscuity malt and chocolate raisins, with roasted nuts beneath. The finish is sweet and spicy, with cinnamon, poached pears, pepper and sultanas.
