Hyde No.10 is an Irish single malt made from 100% malted barley, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The whisky matures in charred first-fill ex-bourbon white oak casks, then receives a finish in Calvados Garnier casks from Normandy. The bottling commemorates Douglas Hyde, the first President of Ireland, who held office from 25 June 1938 to 24 June 1945.
The nose brings fresh citrus, apples and pears with a hint of almond. The palate is creamy, with peach, pear, watermelon and vanilla, then apricot, baking spices and sweet pastry. The finish is long, soft and buttery, with malt, toffee and vanilla.
