Hyde No. 6 President's Reserve is a limited edition Irish whiskey, chosen from the master distiller's selection of old reserve casks. It is named 1938 in honour of Douglas Hyde, Ireland's first President, who was inaugurated on 28 June 1938.
It combines an 18 year old single malt with an 8 year old single grain, both first aged in flame charred American bourbon barrels. The two were then married and finished for a further nine months in Spanish toasted Oloroso sherry butts.
