I.W. Harper Cabernet Cask Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon, finished in Cabernet Sauvignon casks and bottled at 45% ABV.
The nose combines caramel, vanilla, red berries and dark cherry with toasted oak, cocoa and soft spice. The palate is smooth and layered, with sweet caramel, vanilla, ripe red fruit, oak, baking spice, dark chocolate and Cabernet-style tannin. The finish runs medium to long, with oak, cherry, spice and vanilla, ending in a subtle wine-cask dryness.
