Ichiro's Malt & Grain Limited Edition (75cl, 48%)

Ichiro's Malt & Grain Limited Edition is a blend of malt and grain whiskies from five countries, vatted at Chichibu Distillery in Saitama, Japan, and bottled at 48% in a 750ml bottle. Ichiro Akuto brings together Scotch whisky, Canadian rye, American bourbon, Irish whiskey and his own Japanese single malt. Each component is matured further at Chichibu for at least ten years before vatting, and some casks are between twenty and forty years old. It is bottled non-chill filtered, with no additives or colouring. The nose offers baked apple, cinnamon, roasted corn and honey. On the palate, malt and toffee give way to ginger, pepper and orange, and the finish is long, with citrus sweetness and gentle oak tannin.
