Insólito Reposado Tequila (75cl)

Insólito is produced at Premium de Jalisco in Mazamitla, Jalisco, by brothers Octavio and Alberto Herrera, at a distillery 7,200 feet above sea level. The name means uncommon or unusual. It is 100% Weber Azul blue agave, sourced 80% from Highland and 20% from Lowland Jalisco, with no artificial ingredients added. The Reposado ages between six and ten months, approximately eight months on average, in virgin American oak barrels toasted to a 2.5 char. Seasonal swings at altitude drive active spirit flow in and out of the wood. The result preserves sweeter notes of the house Blanco while ageing brings forward almond and vanilla, with cooked agave, oak and butterscotch on the nose, baking spice and ripe fruit joining buttery agave and dry oak tannins on the palate, and a lasting, slightly dry finish.
