J.J. Corry The Hanson Irish Whiskey (70cl, 46%)

The Hanson is a blend of Irish grain whiskeys from different distilleries, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The whiskeys are five, ten and eleven years old and were matured in ex-bourbon casks and craft American casks from Kentucky and Tennessee. It is bottled without colouring or chill-filtration. The character is bright and fruity, with deep oak and toasted vanilla running through it. The nose brings vanilla fudge and toasted coconut, with griddled pineapple and lime on top. On the palate, green apples and toasted coconut come first, and fresh oak is clearly present.
