Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye is a Tennessee rye whiskey selected from individual barrels at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee. It is bottled straight from the barrel, unchilled and unfiltered, so the strength varies from barrel to barrel, in the range of 60 to 70% ABV.
It is made from the distillery's Tennessee rye mash bill and matured in handmade American oak barrels.
The nose brings ripe orchard fruit, toasted oak and brown sugar. The palate is rich and spicy, with rye grain spice, vanilla, caramel and roasted nuts. The finish is long and warming, with layered oak and subtle fruit.
