This is a 2021 Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Tennessee whiskey from Coy Hill, the highest point on the distillery's Lynchburg site. It is bottled uncut and unfiltered at natural barrel proof, 138.7 proof or 69.35% ABV. The barrel was aged on the upper floors of the Coy Hill barrelhouse, where wide seasonal temperature swings are said to drive the spirit deeper into the wood. Caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and sweet corn come first on the nose, with dried fruit and brown sugar beneath. The palate is rich and powerful, with caramel, brown sugar, charred oak, vanilla and warming spice. The finish is long and warm, with oak, caramel, dried fruit and spice.
