Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Coy Hill 2021 is a Tennessee whiskey from the Lynchburg distillery, bottled undiluted and unfiltered at 68.95% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The barrels come from Coy Hill, the highest point on the distillery campus, where the temperature swings between summer and winter are the most extreme on the property. That movement drives faster cycling of the spirit in and out of the wood, which brings more caramelised wood sugar and a higher natural proof. The spirit is filtered through sugar maple charcoal before it goes into the barrel, the Lincoln County Process, which makes it a Tennessee whiskey rather than a bourbon.
