It is bottled uncut and unfiltered at barrel proof, 138.1 proof or 69.05% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It comes from barrels aged on the upper floors of Coy Hill, the highest point of the Lynchburg campus, where the seasonal temperature swings are at their widest. Each Coy Hill barrel is bottled at its own natural proof. The nose combines caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and sweet corn, with dried fruit and brown sugar beneath. The palate is powerful, with caramel, brown sugar, charred oak, vanilla and warming spice. The finish is long and warm, with oak, caramel, dried fruit and spice.
