Jack Daniel's – Single Barrel Coy Hill 2021 (75cl, 73.3%)

A single barrel Tennessee whiskey from Jack Daniel's, the 2021 Coy Hill release, bottled uncut and unfiltered at 146.5 proof (73.25% ABV) in a 750ml bottle. Coy Hill is the hilltop barrel house on the Lynchburg campus, where the barrels go through the hottest summers and coldest winters on the property. That constant cycling concentrates the whiskey in the charred white oak, which is how it reaches such a high strength. It is made with the Lincoln County Process. The nose offers caramelised sugar, dark dried fruit, charred oak and vanilla, with brown sugar and leather coming through with air. The palate is powerful, with caramel, dark cherry, toasted oak and cinnamon. The finish is long, with charred oak, dried fruit and caramel.
