Jack Daniel's – Single Barrel Coy Hill 2024 (75cl, 68.8%)

A single barrel Tennessee whiskey from Jack Daniel's of Lynchburg, from the 2024 Coy Hill release. It was bottled uncut and unfiltered at its natural strength of 68.75% ABV (137.5 proof), the highest proof of the release. Coy Hill is the highest point on the Lynchburg campus. Each year a small number of single barrels are chosen from the upper floors of its barrel house, where the sharp seasonal swings in temperature concentrate the spirit. The nose brings caramelised sugar, toasted oak, vanilla and dark dried fruit. The palate is rich and powerful, with caramel, charred oak, brown sugar and cinnamon, and the finish is long and warming, with oak, caramel, dried fruit and spice.
