A limited single barrel Tennessee whiskey from Jack Daniel's, bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It is made with the Lincoln County Process from a mash bill of 80% corn, 12% rye and 8% malted barley.
The whiskey is matured in barrels built to echo the distillery's early coopering, with different stave seasoning, char and construction. This is meant to bring out more caramelised oak sugars and a softer, honey-led character.
The nose is warm honey, toasted caramel, candied fruit and soft oak. On the palate there is rich honey, caramel, candied fruit and vanilla, with a soft, warm oak structure. The finish is long and honeyed, with brown sugar and a clean, warm close.
