This is Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select, a Tennessee whiskey bottled at 47% ABV in a 37.5cl bottle. Each bottling comes from a single barrel, chosen by the Master Distiller for how well it stands on its own.
It is described as layering subtle caramel and spice with bright fruit and sweet aromatics.
The nose has toasty oak, corn, cereal sweetness, smoke, a little spice and toffee. The palate is full, with cereal sweetness, rye, cigar box, nut oils, spice and aniseed. The finish is of good length, with a hint of citrus.
