Jägermeister Herbal Liqueur (20cl, 35%)

Jägermeister is a German herbal liqueur made from 56 botanicals, including herbs, roots, fruits and spices. It was created in 1934 in Wolfenbüttel and is bottled at 35% in a 75cl bottle. The botanicals are macerated and filtered, then matured in oak barrels for up to one year. The result is bittersweet and smooth, usually served ice cold, and it is also used in cocktails such as the Jäger Mule. On the nose it shows herbal spice, citrus peel, anise and a little liquorice. The palate is rich and bittersweet, with ginger, clove and orange zest, and the finish is warming and lightly sweet with lingering spice.
