This is Jameson Irish whiskey from the 2000s, bottled at 40% abv. It is pale gold in colour.
The nose is led by caramel, which grows stronger with time, alongside caramelised peanuts and very ripe oranges. The palate is sweet, nutty and cereal-like, and more powerful than the strength suggests, with candied caramel, a hint of coffee, malt, burnt cake and overcooked praline, turning to liquorice and finally drier tannins.
The finish is medium-long, with bitter chocolate and fresh apple juice.
