Jameson Triple Triple Series I is a triple distilled Irish whiskey matured in three different casks: ex-bourbon, sherry and Malaga wine.
The nose opens with sweet pear, which gives way to juicy citrus peel, with red berries in the background. Cinnamon and clove balance the sweetness of the Malaga cask.
On the palate there are sweet fruits with a little blackcurrant, plum and raisin. The spices deepen into clove and black pepper, with oak tannins layered with dark chocolate and liquorice. The finish is long, the spices slowly fading to reveal fruit and oak.
