Jefferson's Presidential Select 16 Year Old is a bourbon that began as a straight Kentucky bourbon. It was first matured for 10 years in new American oak casks, then aged for a further six years in fresh casks.
The extra time in new wood keeps the bright character of a classic bourbon while adding depth and complexity. The release is 10,000 bottles worldwide.
It is described as having an orange spice and vanilla aroma, with hints of tobacco, leather and spice, and a warm molasses finish.
