Jim Beam is the best-selling bourbon brand in the world. James Beauregard Beam rebuilt the family business after the repeal of Prohibition, reopening the Clermont distillery in 1935. The company now runs two Kentucky distilleries, at Clermont and at Boston, and has been a subsidiary of Suntory of Japan since 2014.
