Jim Beam Double Oak is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 43% ABV. It matures twice: first in freshly charred American oak casks, then in a second set of new, freshly charred American oak casks for the remainder of its maturation.
The nose is full of vanilla, old oak and milk chocolate, with a hint of cardamom. The palate starts subtly peppery and oaky, then waves of vanilla ice cream arrive, with a few touches of fruity malt. The finish is long, with the toasted flavour of charred oak.
