This is a Christmas release of Jim Beam Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 37% in a 70cl green glass bottle with a Merry Xmas label.
The Beam family began making whisky in Kentucky in the 1780s, when Jacob Beam ran a grain mill. Commercial production started in 1795. The same yeast cultures have been used for over 60 years, descended from one Jim Beam made on his back porch. Production paused only between 1920 and 1933, during prohibition.
