John Barr Blended Scotch Whisky is a blend of single malt and grain whiskies from distilleries in Speyside, the Highlands and Islay. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The nose has very slight peat, more fungal than smoky, over mildly sweet vanilla malt, with faint rock candy and a touch of caramel. On the palate the body is mildly syrupy, sweet and malt-forward, with baked scones, caramel and a hint of black pepper. A note of young grain shows on the tongue.
