The nose is waxy, with paraffin, soft honey, brown sugar and woody notes, and a faint peat smoke running through oily undertones. On the palate it is dense and oily, with toasted nuts, heather honey and a mineral, smoky base in a classic Highland manner.
The finish is long, dry and slightly warm, leaving spice, old oak and a gentle herbal bitterness.
