John Walker & Sons Private Collection 2016 Edition (70cl)

John Walker & Sons Private Collection 2016 Edition is a blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle. It puts grain whisky to the fore, balancing aromatic honey sweetness with soft, fruity distillery character. Master Blender Jim Beveridge chose more than 100 casks of rare single grain Scotch, including whisky from five Johnnie Walker distilleries, four of them now silent: Caledonian, Cambus, Carsebridge and Port Dundas. He grouped them into two styles, one woody with vanilla and fudge notes, the other sweeter, estery and honeyed. A Highland single malt from experimental casks was added, and the blend was then married in cask for several months.
