Johnnie Walker Black Label is a 12 year old blended Scotch whisky, in a 1.75 litre bottle at 40% ABV. It was first created in 1909 and is a blend of around 40 whiskies, with a mellow smoky note running through it.
The nose has winter spice and treacle, with hints of white pepper and a little citrus. The palate is rich and full, with wood smoke, dry spice, barley, cereal, creamy toffee and a distinct herbal note. The finish is long and fairly fruity, with sultanas and mixed peel.
