Johnnie Walker Black Label 12 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky in a one-litre bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It is made from more than 30 single malt and grain whiskies, all aged for at least 12 years, with Cardhu and Caol Ila among the distilleries at its core.
The blend was first introduced in 1909 and remains the flagship of the Johnnie Walker core range.
The nose is sweet vanilla and orchard fruit with gentle smoke, a trace of spice and charred oak. On the palate come toffee, dark chocolate, dried fig and cinnamon over soft malt and subtle peat. The finish is long, with dry smoke and spice, sweet oak and citrus oil.
