Johnnie Walker Black Label is a 12 year old blended Scotch, first made in 1909 and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of around 40 whiskies with a mellow smoky note.
The nose is winter spice and treacle with white pepper and a little citrus. On the palate it is rich and full, with wood smoke, dry spice, barley, cereal, creamy toffee and a distinct herbal note. The finish is long and fairly fruity, with sultanas and mixed peel.
