Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Pittyvaich

Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Pittyvaich is a limited edition blend from the Ghost and Rare series, built around whisky from the Pittyvaich Distillery in Dufftown. The distillery was founded in 1974, closed in 1993 and was later demolished. Alongside Pittyvaich, the blend draws on Mannochmore, Cragganmore, Auchroisk, Glenkinchie, Strathmill, Blair Athol and Cameronbridge. Master Blender Dr Emma Walker put it together to bring out the sweet, fruity Speyside character of Pittyvaich. Tasting notes mention orchard fruits, honey, creamy vanilla, delicate florals, ripe peaches, gentle spice, toasted oak and a little smoke, with a smooth, lingering finish.
