Johnnie Walker Blue Label Umami (70cl, 43%)

Johnnie Walker Blue Label Umami is a blended Scotch whisky made in collaboration between Master Blender Emma Walker and the chef Kei Kobayashi. It is a limited edition built around umami, the fifth taste, and comes at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Five rare whiskies were chosen for their savoury depth, with casks from across Scotland picked for their balance of sweetness, spice and salinity. The nose brings sea breeze, aged oak and soft smoke, with salted caramel and dried fruit. The palate is silky and rich, with dark chocolate, roasted nuts and a subtle soy-like depth. The finish is long and warm, lightly smoky, with salt and sweetness.
