Johnnie Walker Blue Label is a blended Scotch whisky without an age statement, bottled at 40% ABV in a 20cl bottle.
It marries malt whiskies from Clynelish, Cardhu, Caol Ila and Benrinnes with grain whisky from Cameronbridge and the now-demolished Port Dundas distillery.
The nose opens with cherry blossom, then honey, dried fruit and vanilla, with faint smoke and white pepper beneath. The palate is velvety, with toffee, caramel, roasted nuts, dark chocolate and orange peel, and a subtle thread of peat. The finish is long and smoky-sweet, with dark chocolate, orange peel and a hint of red apple.
